Moody 14 Danville 4

Jason Raymond hit his seventh home run of the
season and Jeremy Crowder pitched six innings for the win as Moody advanced to the championship game against Coosa-Central in the Ramsay Invitational today at 1 p.m.


Moody 9 Corner 2
----------------
Moody High School opened the Ramsay Invitational
with a 9-2 win over Corner. Eric Bowen pitched a
one-hit complete game. Bowen gave up two runs, walked two and struck-out one.
Jason Raymond went two for three with a three run
home run. The win made Moody 13-3 on the season.


Moody 11 St. Clair 10
---------------------
Erik Tatum picked up his third win on the season and Jason Raymond had three hits for the Devils.


Moody 14 Falkville 9
--------------------
Moody scored six runs in the fourth to win a
see-saw battle with Falkville. Chris Hill, Adam
Cromer, Jason Raymond, Brett Howard, and Drew Rice all had two hits. Bubba Doty picked up his second win of the season on the mound. Moody is now 10-2 on the season.


Moody 7 Springville 5

Moody won for the ninth time by beating Springville
7-5 in a game played at Springville. The win makes
Moody 9-1 overall.
Erik Tatum went the distance for the Devils on the
mound. Jason Raymond had three hits and Chris Hill had two.


Moody High Goes to 8-1
----------------------
MHS played three games Saturday. In games one and
two, Moody defeated rival St. Clair 9-7 and 9-3. In
the last game the Devils lost to Westbrook 11-4.
Highlights included two great pitching performances
by Brett Howard and Nick Dawson. Adam Cromer went 5-8 on the day with 5 RBI's and Jason Raymond hit his third home run.


Moody 10 Ragland 6

Moody defeated Ragland 10-6 in a 5-Inning game
played at Ragland. Due to darkness, the game was
called after five-innings.
Cody Brown went two and two-thirds innings to get
the win in relief.
MHS jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the second but
Ragland tied the score in the third.
The Blue Devils took the lead for good with Brett
Howards solo home run in the fourth. Adam Cromer added a three-run home run in the fifth for good measure.
With the win Moody runs to 6-0 on the season.
Moody next plays at Springville Wednesday at 4:15.


Moody Blue Devils Run Record to 5-0

Moody High School Baseball team won four games
over the weekend and is now 5-0 on the season. The
Devils beat 4-A Shelby County 17-3 and 8-0 on Friday.
On Saturday MHS defeated Shades Mountain Christian
13-4 and Shelby County 11-10.

Moody built a 9-5 lead and held on for an 11-10
win. The last inning provided dramatics. Shelby County scored one run and cut the lead to one.
Shelby then loaded the bases and with two outs
Drew Davis grounded back to Ryan White for the last
out. White got the save pitching.


Moody 26 Parkway Christian 3
----------------------------


Moody scored 26 runs behind 12 hits and went on to
win the Devil's first game of the season. Nick Dawson got the win on the mound. Chris Hill and Erik Tatum both had two hits. Jason Raymond had a three-run home run.
